SPEAKERS PROFILE:

Roberta Aluffi
Roberta Aluffi is professor of African and Asian law at the Università di Torino Law faculty.

Fatou Camara
Fatou Camara is an assistant professor of law in the Law Faculty of Cheikh Anta Diop University, Dakar, Senegal.

Hiroko Kawanami
Hiroko Kawanami is a lecturer in Buddhist studies at the Department of religious studies of Lancaster University (U.K.). Dr. Kawanami’s research covers Asians religions, anthropology of religion, the construction of gender in Asian religion, Asian spirituality.

Titia Loenen
Dr. M.L.P. Titia Loenen is professor of Gender and Law at Utrecht University, the Netherlands. Dr. Loenen is co-editor of the Dutch journal of human rights, the NJCM-Bulletin, and member of the editorial board of the South-African ‘Democracy and Development Journal’.

Taslima Monsoor
Taslima Monsoor is professor of Islamic law and an expert of women’s rights at Dhaka University Law Faculty in Bangladesh.

Werner Menski
Werner Menski is Professor of South Asian Laws at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.

Elias Nassarallah
Elias Nassarallah is a columnist of the Kuwaiti newspaper Al Raialaam and an expert of the Muslim World.

Hildegardis Warnink
Hildegardis Warnink is professor of Canon law at the Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium). She is Judge in the Flemish Interdiocesan Tribunal of first Instance in the Diocese of Mechelen-Brussels (Belgium) and Judge and coordinator of the Ecclesiastical Tribunal of the Diocese of Rotterdam (The Netherlands).

Anna Záborská
Anna Záborská is the Chairwoman of the Committee on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality of the European Parliament.
